Learning Experience
CARE in Action uses a two-level approach to support learning and real-world application:
Level 1: Learn Together
- Engage as a team in each module
- Build understanding of key foundational concepts
Level 2: Apply with Support
- Connect with local coaching and technical assistance
- Review and strengthen understanding
- Plan how to apply strategies in the group home setting
- Receive hands-on guidance as the team continues with each module
Group Home Team Participation
- Each group home will include a team lead and staff participants.
- Each participant will create an individual account to access the modules and track their progress.
- While content is accessed individually, teams will engage together throughout the learning experience.
- Team leads assign modules, support engagement, and monitor progress using an online Teams Portal.
- Teams follow a guided schedule, with flexibility to meet their needs.
- Learning is paced to support small, meaningful steps toward being safe, steady, and ready.
Commitment
- Earn up to 15 hours of professional learning toward annual training requirements.
- Teams also benefit from up to 55 hours of ongoing support throughout the pilot, including coaching, consultations, and technical assistance.
